The 2023 CHAR Technologies Ltd. Annual General Meeting was held on March 30th in Toronto. Approximately 150 people were in attendance to hear a presentation on CHAR, including the firm’s project pipeline from CEO Andrew White.
This year’s guest speaker was Dan Mathieson, the former 5-time mayor and CEO of the City of Stratford, Ontario, former Chair of MPAC, and current Board member of Hampton Financial Corporation. Dan gave a very interesting presentation on the tremendous growth opportunities through the intersection of cleantech and traditional industries. One example he gave was CHAR Technologies’ Thorold facility being located on a brownfield site and producing biocoal for the steel industry.
