As planned, CHAR has relocated its high temperature pyrolysis (HTP) system from London, Ont. to Thorold, Ont. The system is now up and running.
The relocation of the HTP system is part of CHAR’s expansion plans in Thorold. When the fully expanded facility is complete, it will be the largest operation of its kind in Canada, and the only RNG facility in the country to exclusively use woody biomass.
In December, CHAR announced that the governments of Canada and Ontario are investing more than $11.3 million for a CHAR facility in Thorold with expanded capacity.
